It is supposed to turn very cold later today, but for today it is just showering rain, and the daisies look quite beautiful with raindrops on their petals. The tui is also singing in the rain- and just alighted in the camellia tree near the house. A feast for the ears and eyes- thank you tui!
Lovely shot! There were wood pigeons - 3 of them! - in the kowhai tree outside my classroom on Friday. Sadly, I didn't get any photos; I had my phone but the ones I took weren't worth keeping.
ReplyDeleteOH wow- wood pigeons- how very fortunate you were! The most I have ever seen of them was on Kapiti Island where they come low to feed in the colder months, and are so tame they were even on the grass. Yes, I wasn't quite quick enough to get a photo of the tui. It looked very glossy, so I suppose it has 'breeding' plumage on- maybe....
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning photo. I love the definition of the rain drops, and the vibrant yellow colour! After posting colourful spring flowers yesterday I am back to snow photos again...
ReplyDeleteI wish I could post snow photos!!!! My sister in Wilton in Wellington has quite thick snow at their place- it's all layered on the cars etc and the kids have been able to play in it for the first time in their lives.
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture, vibrant colours!
