Wonderfully, I am starting to do a few more 'normal' things again. On the weekend I even did a little bit of slow, careful gardening- great therapy for my hand the physio tells me. In the process of getting some compost out of the compost heap, I discovered why I always seemed to need to buy new vege peelers......
Lol, and I bet they are too rusted to use.
ReplyDeleteThe scary bit is that I haven't even tried the second compost pile.... who knows how many more rusted peelers I have lost??!
ReplyDeleteHave you found any of ours?
ReplyDeleteHow about a trade me listing - I'm sure there is an angle in this story to promote a bidding frenzy!
lololol @ Trademe. Could finance my next long walk ya reckon?!
ReplyDeletehahahah! thats brilliant! :o) proof that you are in fact composting!
ReplyDeleteProof I at least prepare veges too Simon...
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteLove it, Kiwi!
Tie a long length of twine to the handle of your current one, it might stick out and remind you where it's disappeared to before you turf the peelings ;)
Kiwi - you've elevated the humble vegetable peeler to a photographic, almost sculptural work of art!
ReplyDeleteAnd on a more mundane level Robert, it is a statistical study of which colours of peelers are more likely to be ditched with the peelings!
ReplyDeleteI am very careful with my vegetable peeler because it is really hard to find one that a lefty can use easily! That picture is priceless!

I just use 'cheapies' that are easily bought at the supermarket for a right-hander. Obviously, their colours are designed to tone in with the carrot and pumpkin peelings...
ReplyDeletePeeling a pumpkin?! Those cheapies must be pretty sturdy.

OH true lol. I guess the peeler was used for something else eg potatoes but the peelings end up in one heap!
