Candes-St-Martin

Eventually I came to realise that the word "Candes" had something to do with 'Confluence". The day before I had seen the river Vienne flowing through Chinon, and here at the very beautiful village of Candes-St-Martin, I saw the Vienne join the Loire River. I know you can hardly tell from this photo, but there is a confluence going on!


And yet again, I saw someone peacefully fishing.
