Beaugency

Beaugency was another camping ground right alongside the Loire. There was this rather a magnificent bridge to cross to get over to the town. It is a twelfth century tower that you can see poking up above the trees.

Underneath the bridge were sandbanks that were the home to many nesting birds. Quite how many became apparent on my return visit nearly a month later: so many young birds were flying!
