Back in March I posted some photos from my sister's garden: she has little hidden treasures all around the place. I was there again today, and have a few more treasures, (or different angles on treasures), to show you... Enjoy!
I am very curious about the 3rd picture. At first glance I thought it was a snow shovel but the handle would fold in two at the first shovel full of snow.
It's a roller rather than a shovel Michele- would usually be used on big flat lawns like bowling greens. Not sure of the story behind why there is one of these at my sister's place!
Not sure if it was my sister or her husband did that Simon. But it might have been my sister. You should have seen the way she stacked containers of food for me in my freezer when I broke my arm. Had no idea you could fit so much in my little freezer space before that!
Nice to see that others are enjoying my little playground!
I'm afraid that unfortunately the answers are boring and simple: no great and wondrous stories behind them...we've had the lawn roller for many years and it's been used for exactly that purpose...as we've landscaped around our home it's been used to flatten and compress the ground. When not in use it gets moved around as a sculpture until needed.
The woodpile is only temporary - and strategically placed close to where hubby can split it before it gets stored and yes, stacked again safely away in the dry for winter. (Yet another work in progress.)
What a delightful garden! Your eye sees what one might not at first glance.
ReplyDeleteMy sister has had a great deal of fun placing bits and pieces all over the place in her garden.
