Welcome to Spring!

Welcome to Spring! Today was a lovely warm sunny day for us all to breathe in the start of the new season .....though tomorrow much rain is forecast!

On Friday I had my cast removed, something I was very happy about. Saturday I had a bit of a 'melt-down' as my hand felt so 'useless'. But this week I have met an angel of a physiotherapist who has given me hope that 'ordinary life' is not too many weeks away....

  1. I never thought of that, but I guess your muscles get very weakened. Maybe this is not a problem for a teen with a broken arm. I'm sure all will be well sooner than you think.

  2. It depends on where the break is, how bad it is, and what gets confined in the cast I think. My break was right into the wrist joint, so I had my whole palm covered up throughout, and could barely move my fingers. Some people have casts that allow them to keep wiggling their fingers quite happily the whole time.

  3. So, I can't demand an orchestral piano performance from you today? :P
Hope you're able to build your muscle tone back up and be patient with yourself ;)

  4. Nope.... the orthopaedic guy told me it would take a hairdresser six weeks to be cutting hair again after coming out of the cast with an injury like mine. For a professional musician he put playing an instrument well again at six months... This was all part of the convo where he told me I shouldn't go on a trampoline for six weeks yet!1
