53: Esplanade again

Another glorious summer's day here, and I cycled to the Esplanade again this morning. Couldn't choose which photo to show you today, so you are getting double trouble...

  1. The monarch is beautiful and I absolutely love the fungus on the tree trunk! It made me think of small group of pink orchids I saw on Le Chemin clinging to a tree trunk, just before Lauzerte.

  4. It's hard to fathom. I had a very pleasant morning, out cycling in the sunshine, taking photos. Soon after I arrive home, unimaginable tragedy strikes Christchurch.
