190: Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast- a ballerina and a tuatara. 
A new sculpture by local sculptor Paul Dibble, has just been installed outside the Regent Theatre.

  1. Ok...now maybe its me...maybe its the angle...but what the heck is with her thigh? I will never complain about mine again! Other than that...very cool picture! :-)

  2. Not sure ...will have to look again...There will be a reason for it if her thigh is separated a bit- we are so lucky to have this wonderful sculptor living locally. He has several inspiring works in town.

  3. If you google him, you will see that many of his sculptures have a quirky separation such as her thigh. He has some interesting stuff. The whale and ten elephants at the PN library is his also. You are lucky to have such a great artist in Palmerston North!
