183: landscape stitching

At the photography night course I am doing, the tutor taught us about taking photos so it was possible to stitch them together, so this morning I have been out experimenting. Lo and behold, when I checked the CD that came with the camera, I even had the PhotoStitch software on hand!

  1. Oh yes, are you getting some benefit from the course? Maybe I should take a course.

  2. Even my old camera had the stitch facility. It was surprisingly easy to use and the photos stitched together well. Now even the camera phone has it, but I haven't tried it yet.

  3. The tutor is really good Andrew. Has really helped me find my way around the various dials and settings to do some basic things I didn't have much knowledge about before. And you can practise skills without having to feel like he is 'judging' your examples- he just points out useful things. No absolute prescriptive answers- photography as art.
