They are stunning- and these colours only last for a fairly short time before they get bigger and lose them and just become grey.
Young birds can be such funny looking things. It is like they are draped with threads of saffron.
It does indeed. Funny you should say that Andrew- I have just watched Rick Stein in Spain where he showed some people extracting saffron from crocus flowers.
