TP 216: Autumn Colours

Carmi has set the theme of "Fall colors" for this week's Thematic Photographic. I am in the 'wrong' hemisphere for that of course, and even had to use different words for the title ;-) In fact, I have largely 'escaped' autumn this year: I left New Zealand early in April when it was barely begun, and returned three months later when winter was well established. Now we are in the midst of spring, with blossoms and bulbs galore..... But I still found a few 'fall colors' to share.

First up is a sunset picture from a month ago, filling the sky with a gentle kind of orange.

And even a spring garden carries some hints of the autumn that will come again.

The last 'fall colors' treasure is this very special glass bowl that shines with autumn brilliance.

  1. I want a clementine! Those are definitely fall favourites around here. Nice take on autumn colours.

  2. Very creative! Shows that colours though often associated with particular times of the year, are present year round!

    1. Yes, it was the first time I have tried to do html for a link and I did mess it up! Will have to practise here a bit more first next time so I can be sure to get it right. At least I can easily delete it here and try again!

  4. Gorgeous colors and range. I know my choice of "autumn" was a bit problematic given the hemispheric alignment thing, but I'm thrilled you were able to find such an evocative way to reflect the theme. You rock!

  5. Link works if you copy and past omitting the " " at the beginning and end of the link. Glad I cracked it to see your 'spring' take on colours and a taste of orange.

  6. Beautiful - warm, glowing colours which convey the good things about autumn. That tulip is lovely!

    1. But let's hope our summer warmth soon arrives instead of autumn Alexia. The colours of that tulip were amazing, and it caught the end of the afternoon sunlight that I got to see on it as I arrived home from work.
