This week for Thematic Photographic, Carmi has set the theme
Travel Travel. I couldn't decide which of my travel adventures to choose photos from- so I decided to choose my favourite travel souvenirs. When you walk on the Chemin de St Jacques (France) or the Camino de Santiago (Spain) you collect stamps in a credencial. I love looking back at the various stamps and they all bring back memories. (You can click on the photo to enlarge the stamps.)
Ohmyword.....evocative much.
ReplyDeletenow to go and look up what these trips were all about!
(and thank you)
They took a while these trips...glad you found the credecials evocative- I love looking back over them.
DeleteTwo credencial, oh my! I have been thinking about Le Chemin a lot these days. Friends from British Columbia are arriving in Santiago de Compostela tomorrow and following them has made me very envious. I will get there again, I know!
ReplyDeleteMichèle
I had two in 2008 as well Michèle- and the Spanish one on the bottome here doesn't take as many stamps as it has maps on the other side. I am sure you will get to go again!
DeleteWhat a clever idea! Really interesting.
ReplyDeleteAlexia, I have filled a couple of blogs on the subject :-)
DeleteThey are my most treasured travel memorabilia. I think I'm more inclined to keep them in the safe deposit box than anything else I own!
ReplyDeleteWhen I have friends who visit, they always find them interesting as well Karin...
